How many people died in the 9/11 attacks?

9/11 attacks or September 11 attacks with other name are suicidal attacks on America’s important points. On September 11, 2001 four planes hit four important center of United States. Attacks were made by al-Qaeda terrorist organization and 19 terrorists hijacked 4 big planes. Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden didn’t accept the responsibility of attacks but then clues showed him. After attacks, America declared a new strategy which is known as “War on Terror” and invaded Afghanistan. In attacks, two towers of Twin Towers on Manhattan collapsed and the Pentagon took a big injury. How many people died in the 9/11 attacks?

Attacks were made on September 11, 2001 but then it’s notified that preparations started ten years ago. On September 11, 19 terrorists hijacked long flight planes because these planes were heavily fueled.

American Airlines Flight 11 hit the World Trade Center’s north tower. United Airlines Flight 175 hit the World Trade Center’s north tower. American Airlines Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. United Airlines Flight 93 crashed before hitting an important place because passengers of plane revolted.

Attacks made various effects. Main effect was on economics. Also there are effects on health. Especially survivors lived lots of health problems. Collapse of Twin Towers broadcasted live in TV channels and it’s believed as a milestone in the world history.

Official death numbers declared by American Government is 2,977. 2,606 of them died on Twin Towers but only 1600 of them were able to identify by their families. Others died in planes.
