How many carbs are there in beer?

Beer is world’s most popular alcoholic beverage. Beer preparation steps are calling as brewing and there are various ways of brewing. Main flavor using for beer is hops. Hops are adding a bitter taste to beer. Some beers also have fruit mixture or herbs. Beer’s history is old. It’s believed that Beer producing started on Egypt.  There are some writings for beer usage in history like “Code of Hammurabi” and “The Hymn to Ninkasi”. Today beer business is processing by multinational companies but there are still local beer producers. Today, beer usage is high but there are also controversies about it because Beer is high on calories and carbs and this is helping to obese people. How many carbs are there in beer?

Today, there are various materials using in brewing process. Some of them are water, starch source, hops and an organism called yeast.

Beer companies are now working hard to lower carbs and calories of beer without spoil its taste. Especially worldwide famous companies like Budweiser, Miller and Sierra Nevada are working for it.

MillerCoors’ main brand Miller is known with high calories and low cabs. Miller’s flag beer Miller Genuine Draft has 143 calories and 13.1g carbs. Miller Lite has 96 calories and 3.2g carbs.

Anheuser Busch’s worldwide famous beer Budweiser is a product with high calories and high carbs. Budweiser beer has 145 calories and 10.6g carbs. Bud Light has 110 calories and 6.6g carbs.

America’s famous beer Sierra Nevada is also high on calories and low on carbs. Sierra Nevada India Pale Ale has 231 calories and 20.0g carbs.
