How many Canon entry level digital cameras are there?

Popular Japan Brand Canon produces various products from camcorders to computer printers. Company started to work on 1933 and released first 35 mm camera prototype in the world. Then company produced first X-ray camera in 1940. Canon’s first era was lasted with discoveries on camera focuses and lenses. In 1989 Canon started EOS series with EOS 1. Canon’s all digital cameras are working on the EOS system as known Electro-Optical System. First EOS based digital camera of Canon was Canon EOS 650 in 1987 and still producing digital cameras with this technique. How many Canon entry level cameras are there?

Canon is releasing its digital cameras on 4 segments. These segments are entry level, semi-professional, premium and professional. Most selling products of Canon digital cameras are on the entry level. Some of the entry level products are discounted but Canon is still releasing new entry level digital cameras. There are now 9 entry level cameras of Canon on the market.

Canon EOS 300D was a milestone on digital camera history because it was the first digital SLR under $1000. Canon EF-S lens mount firstly used on this camera. Camera is now discounted.

The Canon EOS 350D released in 2006. Canon EOS 300D had some secret functions and these functions are opened to use in this version. Series continued with EOS 400D, EOS 450D and EOS 500D but they are discounted now.

One of the Canon’s still producing models is The Canon EOS 550D and it released with 18.0 effective megapixel CMOS sensor, 1080p HD record feature. Other producing models are EOS 600D, EOS 1000D and EOS 1100D for entry level.
